Throughout my career as a drummer I have been involved in education, passing on my knowledge and pure enjoyment of music on to my pupils. I give encouragement to my pupils through my enthusiasm for music and at the same time focus on developing good technique which will give them lasting skills in drumming.

I have been lucky to travel the world with various bands and musical projects, gaining valuable musical experience. I am a founder member of The Bollywood Brass Band, with whom I have performed all over the world including Norway, India, Canada, Australia, throughout Europe, as well as leading drumming education projects in the UK. I have been a member of Bassistry since it's inception, playing and recording drums and as an integral part of the award winning music workshops in schools in the UK, Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia.

Other bands/artists I have played/toured/recorded with are Natasha Atlas, Imagination, Muntu Valdo, Doreen Thobekile, Laika (Radiohead UK tour), Emperor’s New Clothes (Acid Jazz).

 

 

I  have been playing drums since my teens in Barcelona, where I had drum tuition at the Taller de Musics and later in Paris at the Baguetterie. I have over 30 years experience as a drummer and have been based in London all this time, allowing me to be influenced by the variety of cultures and music that are found here. I am well versed in many musical styles including: Funk, Rock, Reggae, Pop, Latin, Jazz, Drum and Bass and African rhythms.

 

 

​I am fully DBS checked and have many years experience of teaching kids of all ages, as well as adults.

I follow the Trinity and the Rock School music books.
